Banking & Partnership Manager

Localpayment is a fintech company specializing in local and cross-border payment solutions for emerging markets. Our platform enables global companies to accept payments in local currencies through native methods in each country, facilitating their international expansion.

In 2024, Localpayment entered into a strategic partnership with Aleph Group, a global technology and digital media company. This collaboration enhances our capabilities and reach, combining robust payment infrastructure with a broader digital ecosystem.

We are looking for a Banking & Partnership Manager to identify, build, and manage relationships with strategic partners and banking/financial institutions across global markets. This role is key to ensuring Localpayment's product robustness and the proper setup, configuration, and connection of our banking infrastructure — bringing the best alliances with payment providers, cutting-edge technology platforms, banks, and other players in the fintech industry.

Responsibilities

• Identify, build, and expand relationships with strategic partners (PSPs, aggregators, technology platforms) and banking/financial institutions, oriented to payment product solutions.

• Own the partnership and banking product lifecycle end to end — from first approach and commercial negotiations through onboarding and ongoing management.

• Understand Localpayment's product portfolio and strategy to identify the right partners and banking providers, developing those relationships to support payment solutions.

• Bring market insights, product and technology trends, and outside-the-box alliance ideas to optimize the company's commercial portfolio and generate market differentiation.

• Liaise with internal teams (Finance, Legal, Accounting, Product, Support/Operations) to gather and submit all required information for onboarding and compliance.

• Follow up on pending items and ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operations, business, banking operations with strong Banking and Partners network of connections with key players in the industry.

• At least 3 years of experience within fintech environment.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Experience/knowledge in payment rails.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills, both internally and externally.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).

• Proactive, reliable, and capable of navigating institutional processes with persistence and ownership.

• Proficiency with digital tools and online banking systems.
