Hook + Ladder is a fast-growing fractional marketing agency that helps multi-location restaurant brands, think QSRs with 100–500 locations, fast-casual concepts, and regional chains, grow revenue, drive foot traffic, and win local markets. We operate as a true extension of their marketing teams.

We're looking for a Growth & Performance Specialist who's obsessed with results, loves working with data, and knows how to turn insight into action. In this role, you'll lead paid advertising strategies and live account execution, while taking ownership of lifecycle email operations for multi-location businesses - the kinds of brands that need to grow both nationally and locally. You'll be the performance engine of your team, owning everything from campaign testing, trafficking, and budget management to GA4 analytics, email segmentation, and flow execution. ✨Who you are & the impact you'll make:

• You lead performance strategy across paid and email by planning, executing, managing budgets, and optimizing campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Google, and more. You partner with Client Success and Content to connect national strategy with local execution and drive full-funnel growth across your accounts.

• You own insights and use them to drive decisions by analyzing campaign data, running A/B tests, and turning results into strategic action. You build dashboards, surface learnings, and collaborate across teams to keep performance moving in the right direction.

• You build and manage lifecycle email marketing programs by handling the technical day-to-day of email: segmentation, automation, testing, and reporting. You work alongside content teams to align messaging and timing, and you take ownership of the email scope with a genuine willingness to grow and scale your expertise over time.

• You champion experimentation and stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with platform updates, trends, and best practices. You apply a test-and-learn mindset and actively explore how AI and emerging tools can improve performance and efficiency.

• You manage budgets like they're your own by monitoring pacing, optimizing spend across large multi-location accounts, and taking full ownership of results. You communicate clearly so campaigns stay aligned with client business goals every step of the way.

• You keep operations tight by ensuring campaigns are accurately built, launched, tracked, and continuously optimized. You proactively resolve attribution, delivery, and tracking issues before they become problems.

This job is for you if:

• 📈 2-4+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience, ideally in an agency or multi-client environment.

• 📣 Advanced, hands-on experience running live paid media accounts and managing ad budgets (Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, StackAdapt, or Bing).

• 📧 Basic to foundational experience in email marketing across setup, segmentation, A/B testing, and reporting paired with a proactive willingness to own and grow the email scope from day one.

• 🏢 Experience supporting multi-location B2C businesses (restaurants, retail, franchise, or similar).

• 📊 Strong analytical skills with experience in GA4, GTM, Looker Studio, UTM tracking, and client-facing performance reporting.

• 🧠 Strategic mindset with the ability to connect campaign performance to business outcomes.

• 🤝 Comfortable working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.

• 🤖 Daily user of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini — you use them, not fear them).

• 🛠️ Comfortable troubleshooting campaign tracking, attribution, automation, and delivery issues.

• 🗣️ Fluent English (C1+).

Bonus points if you:

• Have deeper expertise in lifecycle email strategy and automation (Klaviyo, Paytronix, or similar).

• Have experience with franchise, QSR, hospitality, retail, or multi-location brands.

• Have worked in agency or multi-account environments with tight timelines.

• Are familiar with Firebase, push notifications, or multi-channel automation.

• Understand first-party data, attribution, and privacy best practices.

• Have experience with campaign QA or technical troubleshooting.

• Have used AI tools for reporting, optimization, or workflow automation.

• Hold certifications in Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, Klaviyo, or similar.

• Speak Spanish and/or French (not required, but a plus).

• You've never run paid advertising campaigns hands-on on live accounts; this is not a strategy-only role.

• You're unwilling to take on or learn email marketing operations alongside paid media.
