Remote In-Game Presence Moderator (Gaming)

We are looking for reliable, observant and responsible gamers to support a live multiplayer game environment.

As an In-Game Presence Moderator, you will maintain a visible presence within designated game areas, observe player activity and report unusual or potentially suspicious behavior to the appropriate team.

This role is focused on observation, deterrence and accurate reporting. You will not be responsible for independently enforcing game rules, issuing bans or providing customer support.

You'll work within a dynamic gaming environment where attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to follow established procedures are essential.

Candidates must be comfortable working within a structured process and escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.

Project Availability and Commitment

Schedule: Project operations run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with scheduling based on project coverage needs.

Weekly Commitment: Minimum of 20 hours per week.

Weekend Availability: Required. Candidates should be able to support some Saturday and/or Sunday hours.

Project Duration: This opportunity may be temporary, with continuation dependent on project and client needs.

Work Arrangement: Remote, independent contractor opportunity.

Actual working hours and shift availability will depend on project requirements and scheduling needs.

What you will do

• Maintain an active presence in designated game areas while wearing the assigned in-game uniform.

• Patrol assigned maps and observe player activity.

• Identify unusual behavior or activity that may require further review.

• Document and report observations to the designated Game Master (GM) Patrol team.

• Follow assigned schedules, procedures and instructions.

• Maintain professionalism and impartiality when interacting with the game environment.

• Respect role boundaries, access restrictions and confidentiality requirements.

We're looking for candidates who have:

• Genuine experience playing multiplayer online games, particularly MMO environments.

• Familiarity with online gaming communities and common player behaviors.

• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.

• Good judgment and the ability to remain impartial when assessing player activity.

• Professionalism, discretion and respect for established rules.

• Reliability and the ability to commit to an agreed schedule.

• Ability to communicate observations clearly and accurately.

• A suitable gaming computer that meets the required technical specifications.

Previous experience in gaming moderation, quality assurance, community moderation, or other detail-oriented monitoring roles is an advantage but is not required.

Candidates must have access to a dedicated Windows PC that meets or exceeds the following requirements:

Additional System Requirements

• Access to a webcam or smartphone capable of taking clear photos for identity verification

• A quiet, secure, and dedicated workspace free from distractions

• A high-quality headset with a noise-canceling microphone

• Dual monitors are strongly recommended to support productivity and efficient multitasking
