About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sales Director to help build and grow our Software Services practice.

This role is focused on selling custom software development, application engineering, systems integration, modernization, and related technology services to mid-market and enterprise clients.

This is not a traditional account management role. We need someone who can create new business, open doors, develop strategic relationships, and help shape how we take our software services capabilities to market.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in technology services sales and has previously helped grow a services practice, enter new accounts, or develop new go-to-market channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage a pipeline of new Software Services opportunities.

• Sell custom software development, application engineering, modernization, integration, and related consulting services.

• Develop relationships with CIOs, CTOs, engineering leaders, digital leaders, and other enterprise decision-makers.

• Prospect into new accounts and create opportunities through direct outreach, referrals, partnerships, and existing networks.

• Identify the right industries, accounts, channels, and partnerships for the practice.

• Help refine the go-to-market strategy, messaging, and positioning for Software Services.

• Lead discovery and commercial conversations with prospective clients.

• Work closely with technical leadership to shape solutions, project scopes, proposals, and pricing.

• Expand existing client relationships by identifying opportunities across additional teams and business units.

• Build relationships within relevant technology ecosystems and partner networks.

• Help establish a repeatable sales process for the practice.

Maintain ownership of opportunities from initial outreach through contract close.

Location & Market Focus

• Open to candidates based in the U.S & LATAM.

• This role will primarily support growth within the U.S. market.

• Must have experience selling to U.S.-based clients, preferably mid-market and enterprise organizations.

• Strong understanding of U.S. B2B sales cycles, buyer expectations, commercial conversations, and enterprise relationship development.

• Must be comfortable working across U.S. business hours (Central Time) as needed to support prospects, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience in technology services, consulting, software development, or systems integration sales.

• Proven success selling project-based software or technology consulting services.

• Experience selling into mid-market and enterprise organizations.

• Strong new-business development and prospecting experience.

• Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles.

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior technology and business stakeholders.

• Experience working closely with technical teams during discovery, solutioning, and proposal development.

• Strong understanding of how professional services and software engineering engagements are sold.

• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and executive communication skills.

Highly Preferred

• Experience helping build or grow a technology services practice.

• Experience creating or executing go-to-market strategies for a new service offering or business unit.

• Existing enterprise relationships or partner networks.

• Experience within a systems integrator, software development consultancy, digital engineering company, or technology services firm.

• Experience selling engagements in the $100K to $500K+ range.

• Experience working with distributed or global delivery teams.

Success in this role means consistently creating qualified opportunities, opening new enterprise relationships, and establishing a repeatable path for growing the Software Services business.

We are looking for someone who can do more than inherit existing accounts. This person should be comfortable creating opportunities, developing the market, and helping turn the practice into a scalable revenue-generating business.
