THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Manager, Global Procurement [Materials] to own and drive cost structures and savings. This role is critical to our goal of delivering the highest quality products, at radically low prices -done right. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the ideal candidate will leverage their deep expertise in commodity costing, clean sheet, manufacturing excellence & efficiency, harvest timing, raw material availability to craft a competitive costing environment where T2 and T3 suppliers are being challenged to provide transparent, and competitive pricing to achieve a win win supply chain for both Quince and our partners.

Success in this role means achieving material cost at or near should-costing, below market indices, securing supply continuity, and contributing to product excellence by aligning material procurement with the company’s innovation and sustainability goals. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commodity Insights: Establish a monitoring framework to forecast global market shifts, raw material fluctuations, currency risks, and macro-material trends. Deliver actionable intelligence to procurement and leadership on a regular cadence.
- Build and operationalize a live tracking system for key raw material prices, currency movements, and supply risks to proactively surface threats and opportunities.

Upstream Cost Engineering: Construct and scale material-specific clean sheets to lock in baseline component costs before finished-goods production. Provide the costing foundation for Tier 1 negotiations.

• Build material-specific clean sheets for all top raw material inputs to create pricing transparency and support Tier 1 negotiation.

• Support Buy Plan margin review to govern company margin target.

• Partner with material sourcing team to ensure transparent, competitive pricing from all key material suppliers (we own material, we own costing)

Tier 2 (and Tier 3) Vendor Strategy: Map and design an upstream network strategy to consolidate raw material volumes across key material types and maximize direct-to-mill leverage. Reduce supply chain complexity while improving cost and availability.

• Complete mapping of the Tier 2 and Tier 3 vendor landscape and deliver a defined material and vendor strategy that reduces complexity, ensures capacity, and increases direct-to-mill buying power.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate upstream material availability into product design and development cycles, ensuring early-stage cost optimization and seamless material-to-finished-good transitions.

Material RFPs: Design and execute RFPs tailored specifically to raw material vendors, yarn spinners/mills, tanneries, and textile mills. Own the full bidding process from vendor outreach through award.

• Consistently deliver product exceptional material cost without sacrificing product quality or ESG considerations

• Negotiate and execute immediate cost-reduction agreements directly with Tier 2 material suppliers, while simultaneously institutionalizing repeatable negotiation frameworks to build long-term material maturity and sustainable competitive advantage.

• Partner directly with the Material Sourcing, Product Sourcing and Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendors to align on, and implement, material benefits into finished goods costing.

Value Creation: Identify and execute on opportunities to reshape the supply chain and extract new financial value beyond traditional sourcing boundaries, including verticalization and volume consolidation plays.
- E.g. How do we become a market maker for Cashmere, Silk, etc? Could we sell cashmere and silk to other retailers? How can we partner with other mills or manufacturers to build a verticalized supply chain for critical materials, like linen, from French/Belgian farms and scutchers to linen mills? How do we buy/sell commodities to manage price fluctuations (e.g. gold pricing, Cashmere pricing)?

REQUIREMENTS:

• 12-15 years of experience in raw material sourcing, commodity procurement, or upstream supply chain management

• Deep knowledge of textile raw materials including yarns, fibers, fabrics, leather, and related commodities

• Experience negotiating directly with mills, tanneries, yarn spinners, and raw material vendors

• Familiarity with commodity hedging frameworks and global market indices

• Proven ability to build and execute material-specific clean sheets

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; comfort with large data sets

• Technical aptitude for leveraging AI-powered platforms (e.g., LLMs) to conduct scenario analysis and automate complex procurement tasks.Experience in upstream supply chain network design or consolidation preferred

• Experience working cross-functionally with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus
