SEO Specialist

We're looking for an SEO Specialist to own off-page SEO and link acquisition for a fast-growing AI mental health and wellness platform. You will build a high-quality backlink profile through targeted outreach, digital PR, content partnerships, and relationship-building with publishers, journalists, bloggers, and site owners in the health, wellness, tech, and mental health spaces.

This is a link building-first role. Strong technical SEO knowledge is a plus, but the primary requirement is a proven track record of acquiring high-authority backlinks through outreach and relationship-building rather than automated tools or paid placements. You also need to be a confident communicator; link building at scale requires writing outreach that gets opened and replied to, and occasionally getting on a call to close a placement. If you have an excellent link building background, strong written English, and the communication confidence to represent a growing brand with authority and warmth, this role is a strong fit.

What You'll Work On

Link Building and Outreach

• Identify and prospect high-authority link opportunities across health, wellness, mental health, technology, and consumer app publications and websites

• Write and send personalized outreach emails to site owners, editors, journalists, and bloggers to secure editorial backlinks, guest posts, and content placements

• Build and maintain relationships with publishers and content partners for ongoing link acquisition

• Track outreach campaigns, response rates, and link placement outcomes with clear reporting

• Identify and pursue digital PR opportunities including expert quotes, data-driven content pitches, and resource page placements

Link Profile Management

• Audit the existing backlink profile and identify toxic or low-quality links for disavowal

• Monitor new and lost links and proactively recover high-value lost placements

• Maintain an organized link building pipeline and prospect database

• Report on link acquisition progress, domain authority growth, and key off-page SEO metrics

Content and On-Page SEO Support

• Collaborate with content and marketing teams to develop linkable assets including data reports, guides, and expert content designed to attract natural links

• Support on-page and technical SEO work as needed including keyword research, internal linking, and metadata optimization

• Stay current on algorithm updates, link building best practices, and changes in how Google evaluates backlink quality

What You Bring

• Proven track record of acquiring high-authority backlinks through manual outreach and relationship-building in a professional capacity

• Excellent link building background with experience across multiple industries or verticals

• Strong written English with the ability to write outreach that gets opened, read, and replied to

• Confident communicator who is comfortable representing the brand directly with publishers, editors, and site owners via email and occasionally on calls

• Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, or similar for prospecting, auditing, and tracking link performance

• Organized and systematic with the ability to manage a high-volume outreach pipeline without losing quality or follow-through

• Self-directed and results-oriented with a clear focus on link quality over link volume

Nice to Have

• Experience in health, wellness, mental health, or consumer app link building

• Background in digital PR including media outreach, expert commentary placements, and data-driven content pitches

• Familiarity with on-page and technical SEO alongside off-page expertise

• Experience using outreach tools such as Pitchbox, BuzzStream, , or similar platforms
