Our client

We’re working with a growing DTC brand in the running and fitness space, selling an energy gel made with honey and electrolytes directly to consumers online.

They’re looking for a strong performance-focused copywriter who can turn winning ad insights into high-volume, engaging video scripts for Meta.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for writing scripts for Facebook and Instagram video ads, studying what’s performing each week, understanding why it works, and turning those insights into new creative concepts.

Most scripts will be longer 60–90 second founder-style ads, where one person talks directly to the viewer about the product, the problem it solves, and why it matters.

You’ll also write:

• Short-form scripts for creators filming on their phones

• Scripts designed for AI-generated video

• New variations based on winning ads, hooks, angles, and messaging

• Simple visual directions for each script shared through Slack

What You'll Do

• Write approximately 100 video ad scripts per month initially, scaling to around 200/month by December

• Analyze ad performance and identify what messaging, hooks, and angles are working

• Develop new scripts based on proven performance insights

• Adapt winning concepts into multiple variations without making them feel repetitive

• Write clear, engaging copy designed to drive action

• Brief each script with simple visual notes for the person creating the ad

• Work closely with the creative/performance team through Slack

Requirements

• Excellent written English and strong command of tone, structure, and persuasion

• Previous experience writing direct-response, performance, or social video ads

• Strong understanding of what makes video ads engaging and conversion-focused

• Ability to produce high volumes of quality work without quality dropping

• Comfortable reviewing ad performance and extracting insights from spreadsheets

• Strong understanding of hooks, angles, CTAs, and iterative creative testing

• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment

Nice-to-have

• Experience with running, fitness, nutrition, food, or wellness brands

• Experience writing for DTC/eCommerce brands

• Experience with Meta/Facebook and Instagram advertising

• Experience writing scripts for UGC or AI-generated video

Benefits

• Up to USD $4,000/month, depending on experience
