It would be a bonus if you had even one of the following: - Experience with Karpenter, cluster autoscaler, or other Kubernetes-native scaling tooling. - Have experience with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana - Experience building AI-assisted infrastructure tooling, including cost optimization loops, anomaly detection, or policy-as-code with LLM assistance. - Experience contributing to multi-region architecture including data residency, regional failover, or latency-based routing. ## You Are: - Collaborative: You possess a collaborative spirit, thriving when working with both your immediate team and cross-functional partners. - Strategic thinker: You're a strategic thinker, adept at defining clear business needs and evaluating solutions to make informed build-versus-buy decisions. - Comfortable with ambiguity: You navigate ambiguous situations with ease, gathering data and making progress even with incomplete information or unclear requirements. We are here to support 250M+ chess players worldwide with the best possible product, content, and tools to serve the community! We are a tech company. A gaming company. A content company. And we do it all with passion and commitment to the game. Above all we prize our mission-driven, flat, life-celebrating, no-corporate culture, and we look forward to meeting you and learning more about what you can bring to the team. About You First off, you love to play chess and want to help others discover that same joy. You are intimately familiar withChess.com products and care deeply about what makes the experience fun, sticky, and rewarding for players of all levels. Secondly, you have extensive experience as a product manager shipping consumer-facing products that drive engagement and retention. You have worked deeply with engineering teams to define what success looks like in an ambiguous environment. You communicate regularly and successfully to executive stakeholders. Finally, you have technical know-how. You work closely with engineering all the way through to delivery and drive on execution. You talk through pipelines and data so you can have clear and productive conversations with engineering. What you'll do - Shape the core product roadmap and vision. In close partnership with leadership, shape both the near-term roadmap and the long-term vision for the coreChess.com experience, making the product more fun, engaging, and enjoyable for players at every level. Identify what keeps players coming back, what causes them to leave, and what will delight them next. - Bring ideas and sharpen them with the team. Come with your own point of view on what's worth building and why. Engage with feedback from leadership and peers: internalize it, push back where you disagree, and use it to make the work better. The vision is built together; you're a strong, informed voice in it. - Operate in public. As a globally remote company spanning many time zones, async Slack communication is how decisions get made. Work out loud in channels: brainstorm openly, pose sharp questions, make decisive small calls with reasoning attached, and be explicit on what's urgent vs. not. Engage with depth and without ego, pull the right people in by name to build alignment. Make the most of sync meeting time by taking on the biggest questions. - Partner deeply with engineering, early and through to delivery. Unblock, reprioritize, and ship. - Own engagement metrics and move them. Define the metrics that matter for your area, build intuition for what drives them, and hold yourself accountable to moving them. Use data to prioritize ruthlessly, run experiments, and know when to trust your gut vs. wait for more signal. - Use AI to prototype, de-risk, and accelerate. Build mocks, test flows, and pressure-test ideas yourself before engineering invests. Bring working artifacts into discussions, not just decks. - Build delightful, fun mechanics that keep players engaged. Improve retention by identifying and emphasizing the moments that matter most in a user's journey. Turn one-time visitors into daily players by giving them something to look forward to, something to work toward, and something to celebrate. Required Skills - 4+ years in product management, with strong consumer product experience. You've shipped consumer-facing products that millions of people use and love. - Excellent product taste, especially in the chess context. You know what feels good and what doesn't. You understand what a beginner needs vs. a club player vs. a titled player, and you can articulate the differences in what makes each experience great. - High-velocity communicator. You communicate clearly and concisely at speed and across many projects. You act as the focal point across design, engineering, stakeholders, product peers, and executives, digging into engineering specifics in one thread then zooming out to exec-level outcomes in the next. You operate primarily in writing, and your throughput is high enough that multiple workstreams keep moving without you becoming a bottleneck. Preferred Skills - 7+ years in product management, with strong consumer product experience. You've shipped consumer-facing products that millions of people use and love. - Technically fluent. You collaborate deeply with engineers and understand systems. You're comfortable reasoning about what a metric is telling you and connecting engineering discussions back to the product and ultimately the user. - AI-native. Terrific
See something that should exist? Build it. See a better way? Do it. At Terrific, every role directly impacts how we grow from product to revenue to customer experience. We’re building the next generation of social commerce through live shopping powered by real-time data and AI. And we believe customer data should belong to the brands who earn it — not third-party platforms. ## Media Sales Specialist ## Terrific • Remote, Americas • Contract ## About Terrific Terrific Live is a social commerce platform that helps retailers, eCommerce brands, and media groups grow revenue through live, interactive, social-native shopping experiences on their own properties. Our platform connects audiences and presenters in real time — streaming across Latin America, Europe, and Israel — and turns content into measurable commerce. We work with leading broadcasters and media companies— helping them unlock new revenue streams through shoppable content and first-party commerce. ## The Role Terrific is already winning in media. Now we need someone who can scale it. The Media Sales Specialist is responsible for converting broadcasters, publishers, and streaming platforms into paying clients — and expanding those relationships into meaningful, recurring revenue. This is not a generic sales role. You need to speak fluent “media”: how broadcasters think, how they monetize, where they are stuck, and how to move them. You’ll translate Terrific’s platform into a clear commercial story for media executives — and close. ## What You’ll Do ## Revenue Ownership - Own the full sales cycle with media companies — from first conversation to signed deal and expansion - Close multi-year platform, content, or monetization partnerships with broadcasters and publishers - Build and manage a pipeline of qualified media opportunities across key regions ## Market & Customer Understanding - Identify how media companies monetize today — and where Terrific creates incremental revenue - Position Terrific as a new revenue layer: shoppable content, live commerce, and first-party data - Navigate complex stakeholder environments (content, digital, commercial, product, exec) ## Strategic Selling - Translate Terrific’s product into a media monetization story that resonates with executives - Diagnose commercial gaps and tie them directly to revenue outcomes - Lead high-quality demos and conversations focused on business impact — not features ## Partnership Growth - Expand initial deals into broader partnerships across properties, formats, and regions - Work closely with Customer Success and Product to ensure revenue outcomes are realized - Identify upsell opportunities tied to performance, scale, and new use cases ## What We’re Looking For - Proven experience selling into broadcasters, publishers, or streaming platforms - Strong network within media organizations (commercial, digital, or executive stakeholders) - Deep understanding of digital monetization, editorial commerce, and content-driven revenue models - Track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals (preferably multi-year partnerships) - Ability to translate product capabilities into clear business and revenue outcomes - High commercial ownership — you think in revenue, not activity - Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where it doesn’t exist - Clear, confident communicator — can hold a room with senior media executives ## Why Terrific - Direct ownership of a fast-growing media revenue channel - Work with leading global broadcasters and media companies - Sell a product that creates new revenue, not incremental optimization - Tight, senior team with real autonomy and speed ## Success Looks Like - You close your first media deal within ~30–60 days - You build a pipeline of high-quality broadcaster opportunities quickly - Your deals generate meaningful revenue (target: 3–5x cost within ~6 months) - Media partners expand — more properties, more formats, more revenue Required: - Deep experience in at least one of Terrific’s three commercial pillars — eCommerce, Marketing, or Media — and enough fluency across the other two to contribute credibly from day 1. - Terrific operates as a global company, and English is our primary business language. As such, all roles require fluency in written and spoken English. Be part of the change that’s quietly reshaping how people discover and buy online. Passionate about social media and e-commerce? Come build what’s next at Terrific. Please note: We review every application carefully. While we may not be able to respond to everyone, we will reach out to candidates whose experience aligns with what we’re building. Originally posted on Himalayas

Apply now and define the future of work! ## What this job can offer you This is an exciting time to join Remote as the Senior Product Manager, Remote Build, helping customers connect their existing systems, workflows, and applications to Remote's global employment platform. Remote Build supports customers who need expert guidance and delivery support to integrate Remote with the tools and processes they already use. You'll help shape integrations and apps that are reliable, scalable, easy to adopt, and grounded in Remote's deep expertise in global employment, payroll, and compliance. Your mission is to make every customer engagement compound — turning recurring integration and app needs into repeatable, high-quality experiences that deliver meaningful outcomes for customers and the business. ## Key Responsibilities - Integration Architecture & Design: Lead deep-dive technical discovery into Remote’s APIs and partner APIs. Understand data mapping, data flows, authentication flows, API keys, edge cases, and compliance requirements across 100+ countries. - Customer-Led Prioritization: Prioritize integration and app work based on customer needs, product impact, technical feasibility, operational complexity, and repeatability. - Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, design, operations, GTM, sales, CX, and partners. Translate customer and partner requirements into clear technical specs, manage dependencies, and unblock delivery. - Quality & Reliability: Sweat the details of data accuracy, sync reliability, error handling, observability, and supportability so integrations work well in real customer workflows. - Measure Integration Impact: Establish and track KPIs for technical performance, customer outcomes, and business impact, including adoption, reliability, retention, and customer satisfaction. - Repeatable Patterns: Codify repeatable patterns, reference architectures, and implementation playbooks that help customers adopt integrations and apps faster. - Drive Product Feedback: Turn integration learnings into clear, actionable feedback for Remote teams — what to add, fix, and improve across APIs, CLIs, and the product overall. ## What you bring - Senior-Level Experience (Required): Track record as a Product Manager with a strong focus on Integrations, APIs, or Platform ecosystems. - Customer Focus: Deep empathy for customers and a strong sense of what matters most in their day-to-day workflows. Excellent communicator and collaborative partner to customers. - Partner-Facing Experience: Proven experience building trusted relationships with external organizations and communicating clearly in partner-facing settings. - Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to align cross-functional stakeholders, navigate trade-offs, and keep teams focused on what matters most for customers. - Strong UX Sensibilities: A passion for effortless experiences. You believe that data syncing, even at scale across jurisdictions, should feel simple and seamless to the end user. - Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code (Required): You must be able to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code and prototypes — not just write specs. You can understand sample code, API responses, and integration flows hands-on. - Domain Expertise (HRIS/Payroll - nice to have): Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms (Workday, HiBob, BambooHR, Personio, ADP, Paychex, or similar). You understand data models, sync patterns, and common integration pain points in the space. - Outstanding Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can explain complex technical integrations to non-technical executives and clearly articulate value to external partners. - Language: Business-level proficiency writing and speaking English. ## Practicals - You'll report to: Product Director - Location: For this position we welcome everyone to apply - Start date: As soon as possible ## Application process - AI interview - Interview with recruiter - Interview with hiring manager - Live session - Team Interview - Bar raiser interview - Prior employment verification check Remote's Total Rewards philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased compensation and fair equity pay along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
