## Admissions Coordinator Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours ## About the Role We are looking for a bilingual, sales-driven Admissions Coordinator to help prospective students enroll in career training programs. This is a high-converting inbound sales role, not a customer support position. Most prospective students have already expressed interest in one of our programs—they simply need someone who can answer their questions, handle objections, and confidently guide them through the enrollment process. You'll be responsible for managing inbound inquiries, following up with warm leads, closing enrollments, and maintaining an organized sales pipeline. Success in this role comes from building trust quickly, creating urgency, and consistently converting inquiries into enrolled students. ## Responsibilities ## Student Enrollment & Sales - Answer inbound calls from prospective students in both English and Spanish. - Follow up promptly with warm leads generated through website inquiries and referrals. - Understand each student's goals and recommend the most appropriate training program. - Explain program details, schedules, start dates, tuition, funding options, and enrollment requirements. - Handle objections confidently and guide prospective students toward enrollment. - Close enrollments during the initial call whenever possible. ## Lead Management & Follow-Up - Maintain consistent follow-up through phone, email, and text until each lead reaches a final decision. - Keep an organized pipeline and ensure no qualified lead is overlooked. - Respond to inquiries quickly and maintain a strong sense of urgency. ## CRM & Administration - Record all customer interactions accurately within the CRM. - Maintain up-to-date lead records and enrollment status. - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new students. ## What Makes You a Strong Fit - You're confident selling over the phone. - You know how to build rapport quickly and close conversations professionally. - You enjoy helping people make important life decisions. - You follow up consistently and never let warm leads go cold. - You work independently and stay organized without constant supervision. - You're comfortable handling objections and asking for the commitment. ## Required Experience & Skills ## Must-Have - Fluent English and Spanish (spoken and written). - 2+ years of experience in Inside Sales, Admissions, Enrollment, Telesales, or a similar phone-based sales role. - Proven experience closing sales over the phone. - Strong objection-handling and negotiation skills. - Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills. - Comfortable working toward sales and enrollment targets. - Experience using CRM systems to manage leads and customer interactions. - Reliable internet connection and a quiet home office. - Previous admissions or student enrollment experience. - Experience selling education, training programs, healthcare services, or other consultative products. ## Interview Process - Initial Recruiter Screening - Client Interview - Offer Stage ## What Happens After You Apply Right after you apply, you'll receive an email invitation from Spark Hire to record your Intro Video. The second part supports the customer’s Commercial enrollment funnels, which involve greater backend complexity due to payment and subscription handoffs. The scope consists of a series of targeted improvements across landing pages, personalization, feature flagging, and testing infrastructure, including integration with payment and subscription flows, implementation of LaunchDarkly for new commercial features, full automated test coverage for new or significantly modified code, and continued support for WordPress-based content delivery while contributing to the broader transition toward Contentful. ## Your day-to-day activities: - 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience using TypeScript/React and Node.js (7+ years and prior technical leadership experience for Lead). - Strong experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining scalable backend services and modern web applications. - Hands-on experience working with WordPress, including custom integrations, APIs, plugins, themes, or headless CMS implementations. - Experience integrating subscription, billing, or payment platforms, ideally Zuora. - Experience working with Contentful or a comparable headless CMS. - Experience implementing LaunchDarkly (or a comparable feature-flagging platform) — not just consuming flags, but structuring feature rollouts, experimentation, and progressive delivery. - Strong knowledge of REST APIs, system integrations, data flows, and service-oriented architecture. - Experience working with DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, or similar relational and NoSQL databases. - Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review. - Experience working in mature CI/CD environments and contributing to automated build, test, and deployment pipelines. - Comfort with rapid prototyping, ambiguous scope, and shipping production-quality concept work — the R&D stream demands iterative delivery under evolving requirements. - Strong understanding of software engineering practices: clean code, automated testing, version control, observability, and secure development.
